How much do you know about aluminum surface treatment?

Aluminum is a widely used material in daily life and production. The purpose of surface treatment for aluminum profiles, stage accessories, and daily necessities is to increase their corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and air tightness and fatigue fracture resistance.

A layer of aluminum oxide film is easy to form on the surface of aluminum, and the thickness is often 0.01-0.02um. It also has certain corrosion resistance in harsh environments, but the surface of this layer of aluminum oxide is relatively loose, porous, and the thickness is uneven. It has a certain degree of corrosion resistance, but because of its porous structure, it is extremely difficult to remove stains on the surface.

Common surface treatments of aluminum alloy include surface grinding and polishing, surface sandblasting and shot blasting, anodizing, electroplating, etc. The body of the company´s clamps adopts anodizing treatment. Let´s briefly talk about this treatment method:

Anodizing is a method that uses the electrolysis principle of direct current and alternating current and direct current to form an oxide film on the surface of the workpiece or product to increase the corrosion resistance and make the appearance beautiful. For aluminum alloys, there are chromic acid anodization, oxalic acid anodization, sulfuric acid anodization, hard anodization, magnetic anodization, phosphoric acid anodization, etc. From the color of the surface treatment, it can be divided into black anodization and color anodization.

After aluminum alloy or its products (such as clamps) are surface anodized, their corrosion resistance, hardness, wear resistance, insulation, heat resistance, etc. have been greatly improved.
